Total Solar Eclipse, SIU Carbondale, IL

This is small series of portraits I took of people watching the eclipse as it was actually happening in Carbondale, Illinois. They were all made with medium format film in a Hasselblad 500 c/m.

One of the things I loved about the solar eclipse was how people of various races, genders, religions, income, and political beliefs were all able in be together in awe for a single moment when the total eclipse happened. For those short 2 and half minutes were all just humans enjoying an amazing spectacle of nature.
